
Tatua have announced the appointment of Julia Gieraths as Sustainability Manager
We are thrilled to share the appointment of Julia Gieraths to Tatua as Sustainability Manager following an extensive executive search.
Julia joins Tatua from FarmRight where she has been the Sustainability Leader for the past four years. A member of FarmRight’s executive team, Julia was responsible for guiding and implementing sustainability strategies across dairy, beef, and horticulture sectors including SuperFund farm investments. She previously provided financial and legal support to FarmRight’s dairy and beef farms. Prior to joining FarmRight in 2017, Julia was a herd manager for a dairy goat farm. She immigrated to New Zealand from Germany in 2015, where she worked as a business lawyer for a German legal advisory firm offering insolvency consulting and previously held part time business finance and legal roles including for large corporates whilst completing her university studies. Julia has discovered a strong passion for agriculture since moving to New Zealand and she has various qualifications in nutrient management, greenhouse gas emissions, and dairy production management and more recently has completed a Sustainability Leadership Programme. Julia is qualified with a Bachelor of Law from University Lüneburg in Germany and a Master of Laws from the University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg, also in Germany.
