Synlait have announced the appointment of Hila Navi Mory as GM of Quality

Synlait Milk Limited have announced the appointment of Hila Navi Mory as General Manager Quality, following an executive search conducted by Baxter Executive Search.

Hila began her career as a Research Assistant in the Laboratory of Chemistry of Foods and Bio-Active Compounds, where she focused on comparing and analysing the differences between cow’s milk and human breast milk. This experience ignited her passion for infant nutrition.

She has over ten years of experience in senior quality management roles in the dairy industry, with Yili/Westland and Nestlé Nutrition. Her journey in the industry began with Nestlé Nutrition in Israel, where she held various roles including Quality Technologist, Product Safety & Hygiene Engineer, and Project Manager, eventually becoming the Quality Assurance Manager for their Infant Formula and Infant Cereal business.

In 2017, Hila joined Oceania Dairy as Quality and Compliance Manager, overseeing quality, labs, and compliance teams. She played a key role in the construction and commissioning of a new lab, leading SAMR registrations of infant formula into China, plant commissioning, and plant and product registrations with MPI. She is also a member of the Infant Nutrition Council of ANZ and the New Zealand Food Safety Science & Research Centre.

Since 2023, Hila has been GM Quality for Yili Oceania’s group businesses, managing Quality, Laboratories, and Regulatory functions across multiple sites. Since January 2024, she has also served as GM Pure Nutrition, where she has established strong foundations and management systems to drive business growth. Hila holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Food Engineering, along with postgraduate studies in Commerce.

Hila commences with Synlait on March 12th and will report to the Chief Operating Officer. We wish her every success in this new role.
